About Bohemian Hall
New York City's last surviving Czech beer garden, Bohemian Hall has been pouring lagers under its canopy of old-growth trees since the Bohemian Citizens' Benevolent Society laid the cornerstone in 1910. The sprawling outdoor space fits hundreds at long picnic tables with steins of Czech pilsner and grilled meats, and it earned a spot on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. On a warm evening it feels less like a bar and more like a neighborhood that happens to have a tap.
