Sunny's Bar

Sunny's has operated on Conover Street in Red Hook, in one form or another, since the 1890s, and the interior still looks like it accumulated rather than was designed. The bar was closed by Hurricane Sandy in 2012 and rebuilt by community fundraising, now run by the widow of the late Tony Balzano who made it a neighborhood anchor. A bluegrass and country jam runs every Saturday from 9pm, and the back room hosts folk and jazz sessions throughout the week.
