The Castello Plan

The Castello Plan sits on Cortelyou Road in Ditmas Park, a neighborhood of Victorian homes that seems almost too quiet for a bar this good. The candlelit interior reads as rustic without tipping into kitsch, and the menu of oysters, conservas, and seasonal American food is designed to slow the evening down rather than rush it. It serves equally well as a late-afternoon spot and a date-night destination, which is a harder trick than it sounds.
