The Alderman is a 16-seat speakeasy-style cocktail bar tucked behind an unmarked door inside the Pilsen Yards development, winner of the 2022 Jean Banchet Award for Best Bar. Beverage director Lance Bowman's rotating menu blends original creations with refined twists on American classics -- think Sichuan Panda with baijiu, sesame oil, and peppercorn -- all delivered in a moody, inky-black room with a velvet banquette and hip-hop soundtrack. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially on weekends.
